anti-capitalism

The current crisis may not be resolvable by traditional methods and lead to the death of capitalism
About 150 years ago, a very brilliant man named Karl Marx, developed an analysis of capitalism that stated that it was doomed to failure like the preceding economic systems of slavery and feudalism. Also, he analyzed history as a continuing class struggle between the haves and have-nots. His ideas so frightened the capitalist class that today the very name of Karl Marx inspires fear in a majority of working class people around the world due to the unrelenting corporate propaganda against his ideas and the man himself. This is true even though his ideas were for the benefit of ordinary working people. This indicates the enormous power and sophistication of the global capitalist propaganda system.

It is almost painful to read him today, over 40 years after his publications (in English), so accurate and cutting is his analysis. Yet, the truth remains, that many African states have Black presidents and prime ministers who presided over systems that are tied with a thousand chains to the old colonials powers, which continued under new management, old exploitative relationships.

As the economies of the West and East tumble, tremors may also be felt in African economies, as heightened food prices push populations to the breaking point of near starvation.

One billionaire investor, Jim Rogers, was quoted thus: "America is more communist than China is right now. You can see that this is welfare of the rich, it is socialism for the rich -- it's just bailing out financial institutions. this is madness, this is insanity, they have more than doubled the American national debt in one weekend for a bunch of crooks and incompetents. I'm not quite sure why I or anybody else should be paying for them."*

"As the United States activated Navy ships and the Air Force to begin an airlift of non-specified goods into the former Soviet state of Georgia, and military exercises began in the Persian Gulf near Iran, I received communications from certain individuals among the Colorado Greens who were organizing campaign support events there, suggesting that I not participate in an anti-war program being organized by other individuals in Colorado." -Cynthia McKinney
