A HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS...
Project M.E.O.W (Make Every One Wanted) of West Philadelphia is holding an adoption event on Sunday, 12/16 from 12:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. If you've been thinking about adding a special kitty to your family this holiday season, you'll want to come to this event! Beautiful cats and adorable kittens will be available for you to meet!
Each cat has received it's vaccines, including rabies ( if age-appropriate), is neutered or spayed and tested for FELV/FIV. Adoption applications available at the event, adoption fee: $75.00
Project M.E.O.W is a community-based, volunteer organization. Our mission is to reduce the number of stray and feral cats living on the streets of West Philadelphia by implementing Trap/Neuter and Release (TNR) programs in targeted areas of West Philadelphia and by providing technical assistance to residents who need help managing feral and stray cats in our communities.
We believe stray and feral cats have the right to live safely in our neighborhoods and work to bring the community together to provide compassionate care and understanding for our stray and feral friends.
Trap, Neuter and Release is an exciting, new, more humane method of decreasing the number of stray and feral cats. The cats are humanely trapped by volunteers, transported to a veterinarian who spays/neuters (fixes) them, vaccinates and “tips” the ears of the cats so everyone will know they are fixed. After they recover, volunteers safely release them back to their outdoor homes and help the community to care for them over the duration of their lives.
