Human rights international law.
From 1948, the new United Nations (UN) Human Rights Commission attracted the world attention. Under the dynamic presidency of Eleanor Roosevelt (widow of President Franklin Roosevelt, a defender of human rights in its own right and a U.S. delegate to the United Nations), the commission set out to write the document that turned into the Human Rights Universal Declaration. Roosevelt, to whom attributed the inspiration of the document, Referred to the Declaration as the international Magna Carta for the whole humanity. The United Nations adopted it in Dec.10.1948.
 
In its preamble and  the article No. 1, the Declaration proclaims without doubt, the inherent rights to all human beings: “Ignorance and contempt of  human rights has resulted in outrageous barbarity acts to  make conscience to humanity, and the coming of a world where human beings enjoy of  freedom of speech and faith and become free from fear and misery;  it has proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people… all human beings  born equally free and with the same rights and dignity”.

The country members of the United Nations are committed to work together to promote the 30 Human Rights Articles that, by first time in history have gathered and codify in one single document. In consequence, many of these rights in different ways, are today part of constitutional laws of the democratic nations.
