I agree with your article's theme of Israeli aggresion/abuse however I think you need to be more realistic about Hamas as a political party working towards reconcilliation (let's remember that their 1988 charter calls for the obliteration (removal) of the State of Israel....which as we all know will never happen).

Your stated desire of a "one state democracy inclusive of all residents" is a only at best a pipe dream smoking the killer cronic. A two state solution can work, but that requires 2 partners working towards the same goal. History shows Yasser Arafat turning down what all (yes, even international) pundits call the most overreaching peace offer(one the Palestineans will probably never see again) simply because he didn't want to be known as the man who made a permanent Hudna with the Jews (Islam as you know, forbids this).
