Locally we need to also cheer things not falling apart.
Submitted by RichardKanePA on Dom, 02/07/2010 - 2:52amAs with Obama, many locally are disapointed with Mayor Nutter who likes Obama seems to have good ideals.
The cities around the country are really hurting as state dollars dry up and federal stimulus funds ends. Philadelphia is doing better than most and Mayor Nutter doing such things as appointing Sister Mary Scullion who works at helping the homeless off the street to the independent ethics board is helping us do better than most. Hopefully other activists will have a place in city government and policy.

The trick is to figure out how to fight like hell and cheer at the same time.
