Mumia and others keep answering the question, Will the US empire fade?" But there is a second question. Will the American empire fade quietly and slowly like the British Empire, or will it crash into chaos like the Roman Empire complete with massive starvation with criminal gangs setting up roadblocks all along the path between farms and the cities.

It's time for the powers at be to think about cushioning the crash instead of putting it off until later. But even Obama is trying to savage things rather then lessening the fall. At least he's not planning a Meth high, literally, as in the last days of Hitler's Thousand-Year Reich, or a psychological last days high like with McCain.
