a call to the white community:
No solution to the economic crisis at the expense of African people!
- The U.S. attempts to solve the deep economic crisis through colonial wars from Afghanistan & Iraq to the streets of Philadelphia.
- Mayor Michael Nutter spends 1/3 of the people’s resources on a war budget funding the policy of police containment, prisons and courts, while spending nothing on economic development.
- This is a counterinsurgency war right here!
- We call on our community to stand with the program of the Uhuru Movement, demanding all rights of a free people for self-determination and liberation. We reject an economy and jobs based on the oppression of African people! REPARATIONS NOW!
Unity in Philly through economic & social justice for the African community!

If you could
Submitted by jon peppers (no verificado) on Lun, 10/12/2009 - 4:48pmplease define "colonial wars" as related to Philadelphia. As ANYWHERE , if you commit a crime and are found guilty because of the overwhelming evidence, how is that an infringement on your community if those within your community are committing the crimes. Do the crime do the time...commit fewer crimes and the prison population will decrease. In my opinion, it has NOTHING to do with funding for a "occupational force" or prisons but LOGIC is if crime is reduced within the community MAINLY with PARENTAL support, then there will be NO NEED for increased Police protection or Prisons. As to "economic development" what do you mean...be EXACT ? Is it to create jobs where no viable conditions exist just to appease? Reparations...why? Please explain your LOGICAL reasons. Just my opinion.
