West Coasters Available for WB/IMF Organizing

Whereas the DC IMC removed this posting, it's being placed on the Philly IMC. It needs to be published somewhere in the D.C. region! What the hell is the matter with whomever is "behind the curtain" at the DC IMC? It is incomprehensible to me why the Washington D.C. IMC removed my posting, in which I state that west coasters are willing to come to D.C. early to help with the organizing for the World Bank/International Monetary Fund spring protests. I stated that it is essential that a convergence space be available in the D.C. area for the radical environmentalists, peace and justice activists, and everybody else who is fed up with living on a bankrupt, war ravaged planet in a spiritually pointless civilization. I stated that I am willing to come to D.C. now and be involved. This was posted by me in response to D.C. anarchists who lamented in their own postings on the D.C. IMC, the low turnout in recent years at the WB/IMF days of dissent, in comparison to the huge response at the WB/IMF spring protests the weekend of April 16, 2000. The total lack of solidarity displayed by the D.C. IMC and their censoring is very difficult to understand. If they aren't enthusiastic about a radical agenda, in lieu of what is happening right now in other parts of the world, just what does the D.C. left stand for? I am suggesting that the Philadelphia radical frontline take the lead in the region! |
