Join us this Thursday evening, July 21, at 7pm, for a visit with book artist Steven Daiber, who will be sharing his artist books, including collaborations with Cuban artists. Steven Daiber and his Red Trillium Press have been traveling to Cuba since 2001 to build an ongoing and ever deepening dialog with artists there through supporting the creation of collaborative artist books. His workshops in small print studios and at universities have contributed to the creation and dissemination of a vibrant body of work that excites and challenges expectations, and address aspects of Cuban life from politics to popular culture to LGBT communities.

More than 389,000 dogs live in Philadelphia according to a formula used by the American Veterinary Medical Association, and while most owners pick up after their pets, not all of them do. That is why the Philadelphia Water Department, together with the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary, is challenging students in grades six through 12 to create 30-second videos showing how to keep pet waste from “poo-luting” local waters.
