West Chester Students for a Democratic Society stands in solidarity with the Women's Center Club for demanding the West Chester University allow the funding of the spoken-word group Pussies, Pens, Politics.

-Join us on Thursday February 25th at 3 PM as we meet on the steps of Sykes Student Union to show your support and solidarity with the Women's Center Club.

On Wednesday, students, parents and community members from public schools and community-driven charter schools will reflect on equity in the Philadelphia public schools 55 years after Brown vs. Board of Education, and present a vision for community empowerment that will lead to whole school transformation. Students from schools slated for closure under the draft plan will speak to how this plan might impact them. Students will also present a skit: “Renaissance 2010: No Knight in Shining Armor”.

At approximately 10pm tonight (Feb. 18), students of Take Back NYU! took over the Kimmel Marketplace. They have blockaded the doors and declared an occupation! They presented their demands to the NYU administration. They read as follows:
DEMANDS
We, the students of NYU, declare an occupation of this space. This occupation is the culmination of a two-year campaign by the Take Back NYU! coalition, and of campaigns from years past, in whose footsteps we follow.
In order to create a more accountable, democratic and socially responsible university, we demand the following:
