It was "Peace & Love" vs "Hate & Disgust" as counter-protesters from Philly Against War came out against the Westboro Baptist Church.
The members of the Westboro Baptist Church carrying lovely signs saying charming things like "God hates your idols," "You're going to hell," "No place for the wicked," "Thank God for dead soliders," "Rabbis rape kids," "You will eat your babies," "God hates Israel," stuff like that.

PS, the dudes in black with the red-orange bands on their arms standing with the WBC across the street were *police* who were "protecting" the WBC from us. .... from US.
Hee, hee, hee! Some of our guys do a "kiss-in," trying to horrify and gross out the WBC members. We're sure they were distressed by the sight. They were on the other side of the street with the police who were "protecting" them from the "violent" makeout session.
Among some of our signs: "Love, not hate," "Love," "I was born gay, you were taught religion," "Hate is not Godly, Shame on Westboro Baptist Church," "This is why Dorothy left Kansas," "The WBC killed Dumbledore."

Submitted by Harold (not verified) on Tue, 12/21/2010 - 2:11pmWelcome to Fascist AmeriKKKa.
In my stinking country, braSSil, we face the same issues. Most people are homophobes and can't even spell the word. Unfortunately we have a people who tends unconsciouslly to Fascist forms of governement. I think the same holds true to a lesser extent to the amerioan people, particularly those living in the Bible Belt. Our problem is 'there isn't a BIBLE BELT, all the fucking country IS a BIBLE BELT, I mean braSSil.
