A proven murderer
Submitted by jon peppers (not verified) on Wed, 05/20/2009 - 8:11pmin Mumia Abu Jamal and a great stage act by Lynn Washington. This case is done and Mumia will spend the rest of his life in prison. I'm really surprised of the knee jerk journalistic presentations regarding this matter. The posting fledging "journalist" appears he, and LW know more than ALL of the first class defence attorneys who COULD NOT show the courts ONE ounce of PROVABLE evidence showing Mumia Abu Jamal did not murder Officer Daniel Faulkner. Now let me see...mmm...Arnold Beverly did it....no...it was Kennith Freeman...no it was the tooth fairy. Grow up...Mumia killed another human being...proven and affirmed

Comment from Germany
Submitted by HansBennett on Wed, 05/20/2009 - 8:25pmThe "Captcha" is having problems, so a friend from Germany (named Kurt) asked me to post this up for him:

Brilliant speech by Linn Washington Jr.
I doubt though, that all the M. Smerconishes ( or J. Pisanos) of this world are capable of learning anything ever.
FREE MUMIA!
Abolish the death penalty! It is about time to get rid of the slave owner justice. As well as modern day slavery in the private prison sector.
I wonder
Submitted by jon peppers (not verified) on Wed, 05/20/2009 - 9:24pmif this convicted murderers victim were your mother, father brother, wife or child...would you feel the same...me thinks you would not. In REAL life the victims family, especially if it were a wife or child, would gladly support the same pain inflicted on their love ones. Open your eyes Hans to the REAL WORLD. As to the prison sector...the rapists, murderers and drug dealers have it damn good here in the U.S....3 squares, doctors, gym equipment, TV, phone calls, libraries,,etc.. You, in my opinion, are an idalistic fool and have no concept as to life on the streets and are fooled by those who you champion. They laugh at you behind your back as in MOVE

You sound like
Submitted by Rich Gardner on Thu, 05/21/2009 - 12:10amthose people who say that al Qaeda takes power drills to people's heads whereas America is supposed to observe the Geneva Conventions. Funny, but they always sound as if they envy al Qaeda. I and my progressive buddies, on the other hand, are thoroughly disgusted by al Qaeda's barbaric behavior AND by those who talk as if they envy them.
Sorry, but I'll toss my lot in with the other "idealistic fools" that you condemn.
Idealist and followers
Submitted by jon peppers (not verified) on Thu, 05/21/2009 - 1:08pmcannot be lumped together. In my opinion Rich,an idealist, such as you , have a cause probably as a direct result of your life experiences and are smart enough to not be "led" into a cause that would use your journalistic talents and your site to further the aims of others. Now, in my opinion ,of course,Hans has his shoe on the other foot and it's obvious he has become a "journalistic" tool for MOVE the same way MOVE used Mr. Tony Allen to "write for their cause". Mr Allen was smart enough to figure them out after the murder of x-MOVE associate John Gilbride.
Some causes are Just...some use any means to further their aims ,such as MOVE. You have leaders and you have followers, and, in my opinion,I/ we, in the cause of Justice for Daniel Faulkner and James Ramp, know who the journalistic followers are.
