Peace is more than preaching nonviolence

Occupy Lancaster is fighting to keep a previously little used Post Office from closing, perhaps Occupy Philly can try to keep 15th and Chestnut near by businesses open all night, giving Philly a touch of 24 hour night life.

With Occupy Philly tension is in the air, and backing down to a worse location is the wrong signal and some will stay anyway, ruining the spirit of the Occupations being a united effort.

Occupy Philly might ask which quarter of Dilworth Plaza might be vacated in order for skating rink construction to begin, while continuing to ask for a permit for two locations.

By the way the drawings of the future Dilworth Plaza are drab, flat and clash with all the beautiful grill work of City Hall's antique charm. The present three dimensional effect with ramps, stairs and benches add to the antique charm. It needs updating but not made flat,

Some Occupations are going well including Occupy Lancaster. They took up saving a local post office with petitions and purposely giving it heavy use. Almost all of Lancaster is rooting for that project being a success,

The argument over whether the Tea Party or Occupations are the answer is muted in Mosier Oregon where most of the general assemblies are being held in the American Legion Hall,

I am wondering what Occupy Philly could do to make all of Philly believe we are part of the community, like Occupy Lancaster making a little used Post Office suddenly becoming heavy use.

Philly would be happy if we could take the lead in stopping fracking, but how?

We got to find another issue that our location center city might help.

How about 5 minutes before 11 pm, marching into Staples and making purchases. Also marching into Dunkn Donuts and Wendy's 5 minutes before closing buying coffee for much of the crowd. Also into CVS 15th and Chestnut 5 minutes before closing until Chestnut Street at 15th is open 24 hours including the bedding store for sheets, giving Philly 24 hour assess to downtown stores near City Hall. People who like the Occupy idea could routinely make purchases within a block from City Hall 5 minutes before closing, as the stores there close later and later.

Sorry I never slept there but did bring hot tea on cold rainy nights, and brought along folding chairs.

Progressive bands, celeberties, politcians must show their support

There will never be a better time for progressive celebrities and bands who are concerned about the efforts that the Occupied Movement is trying to keep alive to show their support by getting in touch with them and offering to make an appearance in this critical hour.
