PARENTS MARCH AGAINST DUDLEY ELEMENTARY
+-+-+-+-+-+
"Hispanic parents from the new Dudley Elementary
School are protesting outside of the school
because the Principal and the District are not
interested in solving the problems that are
occurring with their children at the school.
'We want to be heard and respected, not ignored
and treated like second-class people,' said Ms
Rivera, a parent from the school."
The march happened on Thu, Feb 4, in front of
the new school building. There was no rally,
so the main sounds you'll hear are interviews
and chants. The voice most in the foreground:
local education advocate and practitioner Angel
Cordero.
"Our voices are not being heard and our
children are not being educated, we want the
new Governor and the new Commissioner of
Education to help us, we need dramatic change
and we need it now!"
