Poet and activist Ewuare Osayande will read poetry and offer a political analysis not found on the networks the night before this historic presidential election. An open mic will follow. Osayande is the author of several books including Black Anti-Ballistic Missives: Resisting War/Resisting Racism, Blood Luxury and The Clash of Race and Class. He is currently at work on a forthcoming collection of poetry and essays entitled Race to the White House: Blackness, Patriotism and the 2008 Presidential Election. Join us for a night of poetry, politics and progress as we raise our spirits with an eye on making history.
