It might seem odd to be questioning what high-profile political candidates in Canada and the U.S. believe about the end of the world, but it's highly relevant to elections in both countries. The evidence suggests Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Republican vice-presidential Sarah Palin could have similar beliefs about Armageddon, an evangelical Biblical vision about the cataclysmic end of the world. The ties on the Biblical end times come through Harper's long membership in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and Palin's decades-long ties to the Assemblies of God, which is a Pentecostal church.
