I was devastated by the Vice President debate

by

I almost thought I was looking at Clarence Thomas, and Alberto Gonzales coming across as looking like respectable responsible people. In this debate she reminds me of Ronald Reagan who she kept comparing herself with, and who I think was a terrible President,
http://capitolhillblue.com/cont/node/11465

What is the difference between Palin, Thomas, and Gonzales? Why don't blacks respect Thomas yet many women seem to respect Palin. Why weren't Hispanics proud that Gonzales was Attorney General. More blacks support what Thomas is about then women who think rape kids should be payed by rape victims to make sure that organizations like Planned Parenthood and the doctors who support women's groups don't get money from the state. Even if it meant that rape victims in the town where she was mayor who were told by the police to go to Planned Parenthood for their kits who were anti-abortion and feared Planned Parenthood had no were else to turn for help. Her fiscal conservatism against the poor even meant cutting funds for a shelter for pregnant women, yet far more women who casually claim to support feminist issues than people who are black support Clarence Thomas.

Palin's folksy similarity to Reagan scares me. I fear she may likewise go down in the history books in a positive way. and that of President Andrew Johnson who is considered a great populous even though the Native Americans are constantly trying to correct the historic record to compare President Andrew Jackson as approaching being a mini Hitler, when it came to native Americans.

What can we do? Is there a way to correct this situation. I see something that might lead to hope. When Thomas and Gonzales were in the news, people were listening to Senator Specter wondering what he and others Senators were going to say next about Clarence Thomas.

Today only the shrillest feminist voices stand out, as if during Clarence Thomas's hearing all we heard was what Jesse Jackson had to say instead of what Senator Specter was saying.

This lets Palin sound as moderate as she can pretend to now be, while people who make the news opposing her totally support Abortion with no Exceptions, Wages for Housework, Gay Marriage, and only vegetarians who support animal liberation and oppose all animal experimentation, loudly condemned her so called sporting blood bath from helicopters.

If its not to late, shill people who oppose Sarah Palin, should pressure more moderate people to speak up. Ralph Nader should be condemned for only criticizing her on oil. Cynthia McKinney of the Green Party and Rosa Clemente, who is a supposed super feminist, should be shamed into speaking out. And most of all Mayor Bloomberg of NY City. He call himself undecided between Obama and McCain. He was undecided before Palin joined the ticket and just as undecided afterwords. However in 2006 he shrilly urged Pennsylvania Democrats not to support Bob Casey for Senator, who people thought would be as anti-abortion as his father Governor Casey, just because he was better then Senator Santorum. See, http://www.nysun.com/new-york/mayor-takes-hard-lin...
http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/42447.php
Bloomberg never claimed to have seen God or had a traumatic change of heart on abortion. He should be as loudly condemned even more than Palin is.

There was one bright exception to people condemning Sarah Palin making themselves look like fanatics instead of her. David Lindorff"s "Two Kids With Guns". http://www.phillyimc.org/es/node/73484
From the article you can't tell if Lindorff is a vegetarian supporting animal liberation, only that he loved to hunt as a little child and is now ashamed of it.

Perhaps if we don't want Palin to go down in the history books the way Reagan and Andrew Jackson did, perhaps feminists should stick to condemning her hunting frenzies, while they talk about enjoying a steak now and then, plus a little fishing. While animal rights activists could mention that late abortion troubles them, while they lash out on her wanting to imprison or enslave a women for 9 months with a burden the distraught woman may hate if she was raped or her Prince Charming turned out to be Count Dracula in disguise.

Originally I felt a little warmly toward Palin only knowing she had a Downs syndrome child while calling herself pro-life. But watching her at the Republican Convention, I was shocked when she said McCain saw the face of evil in Vietnam, and hearing her earlier quote on the Iraq that American soldiers "are on a task that is from God", also something about God and oil. See these links,

http://asianenergy.blogspot.com/2008/09/us-vp-cand...

At first I wanted to lash out at this, comparing her with bin Laden, who also won respect from his compatriot for such things as sleeping on the ground with every other soldier, and eating the same meager rations they ate. Most Muslims oppose women suicide bombers, child combatants, attacking a building (the US embassy) at the busiest time of day when women and
children provided a cover just like most of us in America want rape victims to get rape kits, whether or not abortion providers will benefit financially from the transaction. And both Palin and bin Laden think that war has something to do with God's Will.

But Lindorff's "Two Kids with Guns" inspired me to do something else. I used to support the Huckabee's campaign for president and answered Huckabee is not a Sane Man", Posted by: RichardKanePA on Nov 24, 2007 2:42 PM,

I also way back used to picket Planned Parenthood in Philadelphia. So I decided to form "Pro-Lifers against Extremism" but so far haven't got any meeting together or get it posted of various blogs.

I always approved abortion when the circumstances would mean that otherwise a woman would be in bondage for 9 months. But picketed Planned Parenthood at 13th and Locust anyway with a hidden agenda. That if a woman was about to be put into bondage for 9 months, I would do what I could to free her from bondage. One incident got a little close. A boyfriend or husband escorted a woman into the clinic looking very grim. And came out 10 minutes later, looking even more grim. J., one of the picketers followed him back to the car begging him "to go back in and save his baby", then J said "If you were a man you would go back in and save your baby" and which point the distraught man tried to run J. over with his car. He kept pushing J. forward who was holding on the hood. J. urged to police to arrest him and I urged otherwise, though I'm not sure the police were listening to me. J. was fully prepared to press charges and to drop them or refuse to testify providing the abortion wasn't preformed. There was no negative reaction from the other picketers toward me, J. was on his own. No one there wanted an arrest of a distraught boyfriend used to stop an abortion, despite what he did J. wasn't mad at me either. Of course Sarah Palin wasn't there. Had she been, I'm sure she would have made me feel very unwelcome at future abortion protests.

Google Pro-Lifers Against Extremism, so far its only on this blog and CapitolHillBlue

Lashing Out

You are lashing out and have made a complete ass out of yourself. I guess Palin scares metrosexual pantie waists like you. She is beautiful, strong, and in control.

Whew, what a bunch of progressive hogwash

The article has no basis in common sense what so ever. When someone speaks truth, you fail to listen. Palin hasn't come off as a moderate to anyone. She has stated her position on abortion and gay marriage. She opposes it, simple and in your face. She will continue to support the war effort, simple fact. Hopefully Mccain Palin will win, and then she will run for president. She has more guts and common sense about her than any of the others in the race, and she connects with the everyday American. You know it, and you will do anything to destroy it. The truth has no meaning to progressive robots like yourself.

hehehehehehe

The only robot around here are conservatives like yourself who keep repeating the same damn lines about Palin and keep taking cheap shots they can't back up towards those who don't follow the right-wing talking points. Get off script and it will be step one in not looking silly.

David Brooks agrees...

that Governor Palin is very attractive and that she really appeals to serious, hard-core Republicans, but that she has no appeal outside that shrinking circle.

I am not metrosexual, This is RichardKanePA again

This is Richard Kane again,

First I would answer Rich Gardner. Sadly I believe Sarah Palin may have a profound effect on what it means to be growing up as a woman in America, a typical young girl's personal identity.

Also, it was suggested in the real world not cyber world that I respond to being accused of being a metrosexual pantie ( wrote the above post). However I didn’t want to insult gay friends. By the way, I also mentioned in the real world that some of the links I posted were incorrect hoping they could be corrected.

The correct links on Mayor Bloomburg today, being unable to decide, but in 2006 condemning those who would support someone week on abortion in order to prevent someone more extreme from being elected are,

Palin’s comments on oil and God and war and God are,

I personally never watch sports so if I found a comment by her about God and sports, I couldn’t do much with it. Me stating that I believe a former athlete building a very oversized sports stadium will mean she will spend money badly if she ever got to be President will make me seem like a nut not her. Bit someone who always watches and likes to participate in sports could do a good job criticizing her on that issue.

In the dim past there were kings, noblemen, and knights where a few boys learned how to be tough and obedient and kill people. A few places like in Sparta in ancient Greece this involved more than a few boys. Napoleon came along with the draft, and by the 20th century must boys in the US thought they had to be both tough and obedient. The 60's came along saying “no” boys need to learn how to be gentle. Now Sarah Palin comes along saying that women need to be tough, obedient and sweet at the same time, and may have a profound effect on the politics of sexual identity, what it means to be growing up as a woman in this country, and perhaps in other places as well. The way she constantly puts her kids to work waving at the camera may mean that she may very well though maybe perhaps subconsciously agree with al Qaeda that kids are part of the war against Satan.

Anyway, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again

Pro-Lifers Against Sarah Palin’s Extremism

I am trying to form “Pro-Lifers Against Sarah Palin’s Extremism”. I would have liked to just call this organization “Pro-Lifers Against Extremism”. However when one Googgles, Pro-Lifers Against Extremism” Libertarians for Life, a group that worries about rape victims’ rights but not about the rights of a women who suddenly feel they are enslaved with a baby after her Prince Charming turns into a monster. There was one posting on Sarah Palin and Hunting “Two Kids With Gun’s” written by an apparent non-vegetarian non-animal rights activist that was more effective than all the vegetarians who condemned her on that issue. Some postings get spread from one blog to another on its own, like the “Ballad of Sarah Palin” or “If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents”. Moderate viewpoints shrilly stated are very important.

I personally would like to see a US policy to discourage abortion very similar to the anti-smoking campaigns, and wish it wasn’t only extreme feminists who were making shrill statements on this issue.

In my mind Sarah Palin when she was mayor, preventing the city from paying for rape kids, just to prevent pro-abortion doctors from getting money from the city, or women’s groups, makes my own personal feelings against abortion embarrassing. What about a rape victim who the police suggested to go to Planned Parenthood to help her pay for the rape kit to discover who raped her, but hated Planned Parenthood and thus never went there to get help in paying for it. Not only was she raped, but in debt to the city for being raped, maybe even never getting help in discovering and capturing the man who raped her.

In the old days according to traditional morals only some men killed in war. Then there was a draft and other changes. Joan of Arc sponsored the idea of women soldiers, and al Qaeda and al Qaeda of Iraq, not necessary the same organization, added to it the idea of children and infant combatants and of combatants with severe disability issues -- people equipping their own children with disability issues or their own Down’s syndrome mother as a suicide bomber.

In order to try to have rules of warfare both sides have to gain something from the agreement. And the US has yet to suffer from child combatants. Therefore I urge Israel and its Muslim neighbors to agree, to keep woman and children out of the armed services. I know if I extend this point further I will be sticking my foot in my mouth (but I will continue anyway). Allowing openly gay people in the army is another step toward allowing more groups to kill and die, one more step toward the road toward allowing children, babies and those with severe disability issues to be the armed service. Without talking extremes, I am sure that there are circumstances where someone with extreme disability issues could become a very competent fighter pilot. I have a friend who likes to sit in at army reciting offices demanding that they be signed up not their grand kids. I warned that if any these old ladies, knew Arabic, and were skilled in computers they might end up in the Army instead of in jail for refusing to leave the premises.

Circumstances didn’t allow Sarah Palin to be, in her mind a soldier, to carry a gun in God’s physical army against Satan. However her fetish for hunting, competing in sports, and building over sized sports stadiums shows she may be getting as close as circumstance allows to physically fighting in God’s army against Satan. A 42 year old woman on estrogen who already had four children purposely conceiving a child, may show that she considers conceiving that child to be part of God’s war against Satan. I agree that it is much more fair, to that child, to let him live than to have aborted him. I want to believe, though I am not sure I really do, that it was in that child’s interest not to be aborted back when it was a fertilized egg.

Before conception, did that child have a right to be conceived, brings up the question of eugenics. As soon as one mentions eugenics we think of Hitler, and rightly so. However, Stalin with the help of a crack pot scientist called Lysenko called breading plants and animals fascism and forbid farmers to breed cows or corn. Society faces a dilemma whether or not to allow a genetically blind and/or deaf parent to abort kids who are not deaf and/or blind like herself. But to me it is clearly morally wrong, not morally right, for women on estrogen to have mostly Down’s syndrome kids, even though I realize that I am in a small way agreeing with Hitler to say this. It can’t be only up to the mother to conceive a child that has extreme disability issues, or genetically engineered to be extremely different. Soon it may be possible to genetically engineer a child to be nine feet tall trying to create the fastest runner, but the first try may mean a child with severe back problems.

Much of the world watch little Michael Jackson being denied a childhood. Behavior scientists say free casual play is very important in a child’s development. Does Sarah Palin’s children have to spend much of their lives waving at a camera, or can they freely play around, once in a while.

We humans claim to be either pro-life, pro-choice or in-between in our views. Most aren’t total extremists who would believe it would be alright for tissue bank factories to be set up similar to the surrogate mother factories, where women in India earn a living being segregate mothers every nine months, but in the tissue factories instead of making babies being paid to have abortions every 7 or eight months for medical or experimental use. On the other extreme few would agree with then Mayor Palin preventing the city from paying for rape kids to prevent women’s groups and pro-abortion doctors from getting any of that money.

A somewhat related subject, when we condemn people who think they are doing God’s Will, if we are not careful how we praise it, we may be besides criticizing people like bin Laden also subtly unknowingly also criticizing people like Mother Teresa and Martin Luther King who also thought their life’s work had something to do with God’s Will.

Instead of claiming “Abortion is Murder, I would like to claim, “Cigarette Smoking is Murder”, and dream of a policy where even a rape victim would be ever so gently discouraged from having one. Sarah Palin, unless she becomes President, and like Margaret Thatcher in England who created a huge backlash, might have no effect on abortion policy or such issues as the Second Amendment. Palin likes guns but not the Bill of Rights in general. As President the loyalty oath toward owing a gun to join the militia, mentioned in the 2nd Amendment, will probably include swearing ones allegiance to God. Today people who condemned Bush too hard have trouble flying in a plane. President Palin may be so strict on how she defines loyalty that half the present members of the NRA may discover that they have trouble renewing their license to carry a gun.

Unfortunately, Sarah Palin most lasting influence could be on what it means to be a woman in this country and even the world, a sweet looking sneaky snake. I wish that there was something I could say to make this kind of future less likely.
