So what you're saying is
Submitted by Rich Gardner on Tue, 06/17/2008 - 11:15amthat America cannot be improved upon? That the US has reached the absolute acme of perfection and that there's no point in reaching higher or trying for better?
What a sad commentary. That's like the people who were saying in 2003 that "Well yes, the US occupation of Iraq has miserably failed to bring Iraq's infrastructure back on-line, but the US is still better than the evil dictator Saddam Hussein was!"
Well yes, but that's an extremely low bar to clear. Nowadays, of course, our President is said to be doing the right thing by only 2% of the world's population

the frikkin' Iranian President has a higher approval figure than that and Putin and Jintao both have more than double Bush's rating.
America can do better. America can do a LOT better!
