COME FILL YOUR BELLY FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Sunday, June 8th 11-2, 4951 Catharine St.

$7-$20 for a tasty menu including beans, tortillas, huevos rancheros, and more!

hosted by the Philly Mexico Solidarity Group

All money will go to supporting political prisoners and organizers from UCIZONI- (Union of Indigenous Communities of the Northern Zone of the Isthmus) from Oaxaca, Mexico. For decades, UCIZONI has been organizing together in order to defend their collective land rights and the political rights of their people through constitutionally protected actions.

Three UCIZONI members were detained on February 6 and are now in jail and there are orders to detain 42 other members. UCIZONI is now mobilizing both legally and politically in order to free these 3 political prisoners and to prevent the detention of 42 more members. However, all of this requires resources and that is why I write and seek your support.
