Join Us on July 13 for the Brandywine Peace Community Monthly Potluck Supper/Program, 4:30PM, University Lutheran Church, 3637 Chestnut Street, Phila., PA (bring main dish, salad, or dessert to share). Program begin at 5:30PM.
The program topic will be "3 Years After Katrina: Rebuilding in New Orleans, Peace in Our Streets: Philadelphia and in New Orleans". The speaker will be Debi Richter of CodePINK for Peace
Debi Richter is the coordinator of Philadelphia - Delaware River Area CodePINK for Peace; a youth leader with 4-H and Girl Scouts; board member of United for Peace & Justice/Delaware Valley Network;
and a library assistant Friends of Dickinson Square Park, Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. Debi Richter repeatedly travels to New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region, working with Veterans for Peace (immediately after Katrina), Plenty International, and BioLiberty, bringing supplies to the devastated region. Debi's husband, Steve, is helping design and build a biodiesel plant in New Orleans' St. Bernard Parish.
The Brandywine Peace Community Monthly Potluck Supper/Program is held the 2nd Sunday of the month (except August), 4:30PM, University Lutheran Church, 3637 Chestnut Street, Phila., PA
(bring main dish, salad, or dessert to share). Programs begin at 5:30PM.
