Prevention-Treatment-Justice!
The 14th Annual AIDS Education Month is almost here! Each June, Philadelphia FIGHT and planning partners coordinate a series of free, public educational events that aim to raise HIV awareness, improve access to HIV information, and stimulate sustainable community actions with those infected with and affected by HIV. This year, over 100 agencies have come together to create a full schedule of events centered on the theme: Prevention, Treatment, Justice! This theme reminds us that prevention is still the only way to stop the spread of HIV, that treatment is available and HIV is not a death sentence, and that although HIV is caused by a virus, the epidemic is caused by injustice, poverty, and despair. We invite you to get involved this June! Please join us as we discuss a range of HIV topics from HIV 101 to cutting edge research. We welcome your participation and voice! To find out more about these free events and to register, please visit www.fight.org/aem/ or call 215.985.4448, ext. 250. Although all events are free registration is required for most events.
