What:Teach-in, with photos, about the militarization of the US/Mexico Border, how it is effecting the border communities and the migrants and how it is "creeping northward"  and the actions being done to counter it

When: April 7th, this coming monday!: 7pm-9pm

Where: the A-space on Baltimore Ave. between 47th and 48th st.

Why: Because in Arizona, everyday 1000's of people are entering the US illegally in search of work. Some of these migrants are caught by Border Patrol, treated inhumanely, detained for days at a time without food and returned to Mexico. What happens down there on the border is intergral to all the work that we do at home.

Who: Cecile Lumar, who is the co-director of Migrant Resource Center in Naco, Mexico and has been active in border/ immigration rights for almost ten years. She belong to a group Citizens for Border Solutions in AZ.
