MOVE Remembers Murdered Family on Mother's Day

MOVE family and supporters held a Mother's Day demonstration at Broad & Walnut to remember their 11 family members murdered by Philadelphia 22 years ago, and to call attention to political prisoners the MOVE 9 and Mumia Abu-Jamal.

40 Move supporters rallied on Mother Day at Broad and Walnut reminding Philadelphia that 11 of their family members were murdered by the City of Philadelphia on May 13, 1985, and that MOVE political prisoners Debbie Africa, Janet Africa, Janine Africa, Eddie Africa, Delbert Africa, Chuck Africa, Mike Africa, Janine Africa, Merle Africa, Phil Africa, and journalist Mumia Abu-Jamal still are not free.
