Voices A Student Spoken Word Night @ Wooden Shoe Books 704 South Street Philadelphia PA 19147 215-413-0999 sabot@woodenshoebooks.com www.woodenshoebooks.com City Year Greater Philadelphia is a non-profit working to impact the high school drop-out crisis in inner cities; one of the programs we run is the literary magazine, Voices, which showcases the talent and artistic expression of students all throughout Philadelphia. They put this magazine together, working to create pieces and assisting in the production of the final book; this book is theirs. The event at the Wooden Shoe will provide them an opportunity to see all their hard work come to fruition, and to experience performing their work. It will be a celebration and a showcase.
