I often take some time to browse through jewelry books & magazines, & my own sketch books where ideas might lie waiting to be discovered. Some people find it inspiring to look at other jeweler's work, but be wary that if you are feeling a tadinadequate then this might not be the best way to lift your spirits!
2. Browse Your Collections
When was the last time you looked through your own catalogue, web-site, brochure or online store? Do you have a Flickr gallery that you have seldom flickd through? Now is the time to take a trip down memory lane. What designs are you proud of? Which designs show you how much you have grown as an artist? Perhaps you will find designs that you can re-invent, or re-release.
3. Look at Your Highlights
If you are feeling unmotivated due to a lack of recent success, then take a moment to reflect on your accomplishments. Whether this is the design award you won last year, or the memory of your first ever sale, recalling the lovely times can often take the edge off the bad.
4. Ask For Testimonials
Why not turn to your customers for a pick me up? Email your mailing list asking for new testimonials for your web-site or promotion efforts. For a better result & a chance of more sales, entice customers with a special offer or discount if they send you a testimonial. You can also send out a briefquestionnaire , asking why they bought your jewelry, where they have worn it, & what types of jewelry wholesale they would like to see you make in the future.
