Saturday, October 10, noon -- Vigil and Protest at Lockheed Martin, Mall & Goddard Boulevards, (behind the King of Prussia Mall) in Valley Forge/King of Prussia, PA.

Peace in Space/Peace on Earth! Stop the Wars in Afghanistan & Iraq.  End the hunter-killer drone bombing in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The October 10th protest at Lockheed Martin is part of the international week of protests of the militarization of space(www.space4peace.org), and particularly the aerial hunter-killer drone bombing campaign in Afghanistan and Pakistan directed through space by military satellites produced by Lockheed Martin.

October 2009 marks the eighth anniversary of the U.S. war in Afghanistan and the seventh anniversary of the congressional vote authorizing war in Iraq.

Combined U.S. death toll in Afghanistan and Iraq, www.icasualties.org: more than 5,200 - as of September 1, 2009.  68,000 U.S. troops in Afghanistan by year's end, 130,000 remain in Iraq.  Civilian death toll of the two wars well exceeds 600,000 people. The death toll has dramatically spiked in Afghanistan, with increased U.S. troop deployments and the unmanned aerial killer-drone bombing campaign directed through space from the continental United States with satellites produced by Lockheed Martin, the world's largest war profiteer.

Analysts now project the cost of the two wars at $2.4 Trillion.

More than 90% of Lockheed Martin's income and profits come from the wages of war. Lockheed Martin annually receives more than $32 billion in weapons-related contracting and war production, making it the world's largest war profiteer and the center of the U.S. corporate war economy.
