PRO-ACT Family Addiction Education Program helps families address drug and alcohol addiction

Each month PRO-ACT (Pennsylvania Recovery Organization–Achieving Community Together) hosts a free Family Education Program to help individuals and families recognize and address an addiction problem in a spouse, parent, child or other loved one. These information and support programs are facilitated by trained volunteers who have been in the same situation. Offered at eight locations throughout the Delaware Valley, sessions begin the first week of each month and run one evening a week for three consecutive weeks. Each session lasts two hours. Sessions are free and confidential—first names only. To register, call PRO-ACT, weekdays 9 a.m. through 5 p.m., at 800-221-6333, or visit www.proact.org and click the Family Education Program link. • Bucks County/Central — Begins first Thursday of each month. Program meets 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at North Penn Community Health Foundation, 2506 Broad St., Colmar, Pa.,18915 • Bucks County/South — Begins first Thursday of each month. Program meets 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Southern Bucks Recovery Community Center in the Bristol Office Center, 1286 Veterans Hwy., Bristol, Pa., 19007 • Chester County — Begins first Wednesday of each month. Program meets 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Room 336 of the Government Services Building at 601 Westtown Rd., West Chester, Pa., 19382 • Delaware County — Begins first Tuesday of each month. Program meets 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Holcomb Behavioral Health Services, 126 East Baltimore Pike, Media, Pa., 19063 • Montgomery County — Begins first Wednesday of each month. Program meets 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Creative Health, 11 Robinson St., Pottstown, Pa., 19464 • North Philadelphia—Begins first Wednesday of each month. Program meets 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Philadelphia Recovery Community Center, 1701 Lehigh Ave., Suite 6, Philadelphia, Pa. 19132 • Northeast Philadelphia—Begins first Tuesday of each month. Program meets 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at CORA Services, 8540 Verree Rd., Philadelphia, 19111. • Philadelphia — Begins first Thursday of each month.
