The Palestinian freedom struggle - a socialist view

The Palestinian people continue their struggle for justice and self determination. Last year's brutal assault on Gaza by Israel was claimed more than 1400 lives. . Israel continues to seize Palestinian land and build settlements in the West Bank.
 
Christopher Hutchinson has recently returned from the Gaza freedom march and a trip to the West bank. He will explore the roots of the oppression of the Palestinian people and the possible solutions. What is the class nature of the Israeli state? What do we mean by the right to self-determination? Can a just solution be found under capitalism?
 
Christopher Hutchinson is a member of Socialist Action, an art teacher, and creator of GeneralStrikeComics.com.  He is also a founding member of Central CT ST University's Youth for Socialist Action.
