DISAPPEARING VOICES: The Decline of Black Radio

Monopolies now control radio and local connections have disappeared. What can be done to stop the decline of black radio? Director U-Savior Washington along with Producers Iyanna Jones and Shawna Glover saw the issue and decided to do something about it, creating this much-acclaimed documentary. 2008; 60 minutes.

Meet Nana Soul and U-Savior Washington of Black Waxx who return to Philly for this special screening.

Meet activists from West Philadelphia's own community radio WPEB-FM 88.1 and find out how you can get involved.                                                                                                  

   >A FUND RAISER  for WPEB-FM 88.1 - West Philly community radio.                                                                               

   >Sliding scale:  $ 5 to $10 (no one will be turned away).           

    >Special $10 individual membership and $25 family membership to WPEB will be offered at this event, along with a raffle to win a one-time half hour slot to broadcast on WPEB.
