2ND INTERNATIONAL CHE GUEVARA CONFERENCE Theme: FRIDAY JUNE 26 Mt. Pleasant Neighbourhood House SATURDAY & SUNDAY JUNE 27 & 28 The 2nd International Che Guevara Conference is on the move! With speakers coming from across Canada, the United States and Cuba, we have a program to inform and inspire solidarity with the great 50 years of dynamism of the Cuban Revolution. The topics will cover a range of issues concerning revolutionary politics in Cuba, as well as building revolutionary movements around the world, such as: Cuba a revolution in motion; the early years of the Cuban Revolution; the Cuban Revolution and the question of leadership; the Cuban Revolution and its challenges after the collapse of the Soviet Union; the Cuban Revolution and the US blockade; human rights, women's liberation and homosexual rights in Cuba; Cuba and democracy; Cuba and the concept of internationalism; and Cuba and Latin America. Entrance to the conference is free! The conference program will also include documentary film showings, multimedia presentations and slide shows related to the topics.
