Deadline for Public Comments on Natural Gas Fracking...

by

Friday March 12 is deadline for Public Comments about ruining Pennsylvania forests, rivers, water, wildlife, public water systems, private wells, and public health, for the sake of Natural Gas profits for the likes of Halliburton and Exxon, for two.

Here's one link to info on where to send Public Comments to stop the Fracking  (a water-chemical process to fracture mile-deep shale to release gas)  for Natural Gas in Pennsylvania public and private lands, and the theft of our water, the threats to the Delaware River, the poisoning of our water,  the pollution and environmental damage from trucks, and so forth.   One might think to express outrage that natural gas frackers have been exempted from Clean Water laws. They essentially have a License to Kill.

Some may not like the idea that this fracking thing significantly involves the likes of Halliburton and Exxon, to name just two.  That those two firms are also among the investment properties of top Health Insurance firms may be of further interest.

Philadelphians and Camdenians (?) might take note of the parts about how, if so much water is taken from Upper Delaware for fracking use, there may be so little flow left that the tidal Salt Line will move up the Delaware to above our municipal water intakes.   If that happens, the Gas Industries will not pay the Billions needed for De-Salination Plants.    No.   WE will have to pay  for that.

Sierra Club isn't exactly the strongest ally in any natural lands defense, but the info is here anyway.

For very thorough coverage of the situation, Google up  University City Press Review articles at;    http://www.ucreview .com/default. asp?sourceid=&smenu=1&twindow=&mad=&sdetail=1883&wpage=1&skeyword=&sidate=&ccat=&ccatm=&restate=&restatus=&reoption=&retype=&repmin=&repmax=&rebed=&rebath=&subname=&pform=&sc=2320&hn=ucreview&he=.com

Look up plenty of other articles on the topic there.
