Recovery Walk
Submitted by Allen McQuarrie (not verified) on Sat, 10/16/2010 - 6:42amThere were a thousand people in recovery walking in front of our PRO ACT Veterans Helping Veterans banner at the PRO ACT Recovery Walk. When we turned around to walk back to the starting line at the Constitution Center, we could still see people still crossing the Penn's Landing Bridge. At one point, we formed a complete circle from start to finish as all 11,000 of us at the beginning and end of the Recovery Walk walked together.
Looking back to PRO ACT's first Recovery Walk when one hundred fifty people participated gave us a sense of how far a few volunteers had come to put a Face and a Voice on Recovery.
