Submitted by jon peppers (not verified) on Wed, 12/02/2009 - 4:20pmdo you REALLY align yourself with some of these groups? As to education, much has been done for those who cannot afford college. As to elementary education, teachers are not baby sitters and the PARENTS are responsible to make SURE their children do the work at home. No homework, check with the teacher. Health care...just walk into any ER. As to the Military, I would not second guess those in the field and, in my opinion, well---I think you know that. I'm just a little taken back that you, as a veteran, appear to have such...well...bitterness...no offence intended, just trying to understand where you are coming from.
I believe these groups would better serve the community and Country by getting involved in the communities as to living conditions ie: drugs, domestic issues, single parent syndrome, AIDS etc. Again, just my opinion.
