The annual Film Festival for Peace is on the big screen again, captivating Vancouver audiences for the 7th year running. This two day experience takes participants a step closer to the human spirit, emotions and struggle of people living under war and occupation, through a rich tapestry of real and imaginative stories that span the globe. Past festivals have featured North American premiers of films direct from Kabul, Afghanistan to locally produced films documenting the issues facing Indigenous nations here at home, and have explored the eras from Vietnam War classics to new films which connect to the wars and occupations threatening today’s world.
This year’s festival will feature films and documentaries from over 20 countries, with guest speakers and directors presenting the films. Admission is free, and food and refreshments will be available.
Mark the date on your calendars and take part in this one of a kind political and cinematic festival!
