My Legs are Praying
Submitted by Dr. Middle Person (not verified) on Wed, 01/14/2009 - 4:44amI like what the Rabbi had to say, it reads of honesty, human emotions, ignorance and a passion for peace.
None the less I can assure you that anti-semitism is on the extreme rise, especially in Europe. I would hope that activists speak out, but am concerned about mobbing, you know that crucible where the unmeltable are eliminated - and the scum rises to the top. That place where emotions take over and logic goes on a walk.
We have all seen the You Tubes if anti Jewish activity and words, the demonization of Israel - or Palestine. Do you believe any of it? Do you really think Palestinian - or Jewish peoples are monolithic in their thinking?
We have to be very careful here, peace means building trust, and that may have to come after this war. There are many emotions tied to this issue, be careful to compartmentalize.
Over the next few weeks diplomatic efforts will produce a truce. During that time we call on all peace activists to reflect on how they personally can disarm their inner nuclear arsenals.
