Most honest analysts...
Submitted by HansBennett on Sat, 12/20/2008 - 4:14pm...argue that Mumia has more support outside of Philly, because local media coverage has been so biased against Mumia, and I'd have to agree. This international support is impressive. According the "fry mumia" mythology, his supporters are "dupes" or in the words of someone from the national media (which is almost as bad as the local media), Sam Donaldson:
"The people who support his release don't do so from a position of knowledge." He continued: "They either oppose the death penalty, or they're campus rebels, or they're African-American activists who believe that a black man was railroaded, and will continue to believe it, no matter what's presented to them."
Talk about overt racism,"or they're African-American activists who believe that a black man was railroaded" !
