Of course it's chilling and sad, (particularly that phrase, "not anti-business, anti-establishment, anti-anything" and the suggestion that a full regime of medications and therapy might be necessary to enforce such continued lack of opposition to anything at all) but we don't know what may have been done to them in prison. Anyone is capable of cracking under the kinds of pressure and threats that can be levied against young people in prison, particularly when that pressure is compounded by the threat of having to withstand it for 20 solid years.
