Sunday, November 9 - Immigration & Deportation in the US: The New Sanctuary Movement. Immigrants in our communities are the targets of anger, frustration, and fear, especially in the current economic turmoil. The program, with the Philadelphia area directors of the New Sanctuary Movement, will separate the reality of immigration and the rising tide of arrests and deportations from the anti-immigrant rhetoric of fear and hatred. How can we respond with justice and love in such a climate? Join the New Sanctuary Movement of Philadelphia for a night of dialogue and education.
Peter Pedemonti, co-director of the New Sanctuary Movement of Philadlephia, is a community member of the House of Grace Catholic Worker.
