What a sad commentary. That's like the people who were saying in 2003 that "Well yes, the US occupation of Iraq has miserably failed to bring Iraq's infrastructure back on-line, but the US is still better than the evil dictator Saddam Hussein was!"

the frikkin' Iranian President has a higher approval figure than that and Putin and Jintao both have more than double Bush's rating.
