Well, I think the ad isn't a bad idea, but it doesn't have to be an "either or" kinda thing with the idea of a regular anti-war editorial, which also can serve its purpose, but not cost any money, and is a practical "first step" demand.
Of course raising funds for an ad is the big question. Where to get that? And also, if the movement can raise several thousand dollars, why not use that to print tens of thousands of our own newspapers?
To be clear, I'm not knocking the idea of the paid ad (they point about putting it an a diff, more read section than "opinions" is a good point), but the issue of 1)how to raise the money and 2) once the money is raised, is it really the best way to use it?
