In addition speakers, lots of great information, and comradery a variety of poets, spoken word artist, and musicians will be on hand.
The NRTFV&A event also helps to bring a greater focus to the fact though guns violence is a major problem it is not the only destructive behavior that must be looked at closer and realistically dealt with. This activity will also serve as a prelude to the Boycott (to be announced at the upcoming International Million Woman Movement National Convention) October 2008) that will target several of the record companies, artist, etc. that find it necessary to degrade and exploit Black females in their videos etc.
The Boycott of their records, concerts, and products should send a cleaer message that we are not their or any body's *itches and hoes and will show the world that "Enough Is Enough".
