This Week: Solidarity with the campaign to free Diop Olugbala and the right of African people to resist colonial oppression
This week's show will feature a report from Uhuru Solidarity Movement organizers in Philadelphia, PA on the ongoing campaign to free Diop Olugbala, the President of the International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement and leader in Philadelphia, who was attacked and arrested by police for peacefully protesting inside City Hall on March 19, 2009. Hear reports from the trial on August 24, 2010, where Judge Roxanne Covington found Diop guilty of felony aggravated assault, as well as clips from the powerful Uhuru Movement demonstration outside the courthouse. Learn about the Reparations in Action campaign, an international fundraising and action campaign that YOU can be a part of, leading up to the Day in Solidarity With African People event in Philadelphia on November 6th.
