In the 75 years since a group of recovering alcoholics introduced the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), more than 300 groups have adopted the steps as a way to help their members recover from alcohol, nicotine, cocaine, narcotic, food, sex, gambling, or a variety of other addictions.
