Was pleasantly surprised to see the usually lazy and derelict Howard Kurtz actually engage in *gasp* actual journalism!
Howard Kurtz gets slammed a lot for being a lousy, lazy journalist but I noticed one of the final paragraphs in his report on Glenn Beck and Fox News:

History is repeating itself. When Carter was President, he was sabotaged and smeared by right-wingers who hated him. The very worst example was called the “October Surprise”
Under President Carter so-called super-patriotic Americans including a former Vice-President who was later to become President. President Bush, in the worst case example, worked with America’s enemies to sabotage Carter’s domestic and foreign policy. It hasn’t been smoking gun proven, but the elder Bush’s emissaries might have actually directly, not indirectly, worked with the Iranian hostage takers, google Wikipedia and October Surprise.

Just how seriously can we take criticism from "The Village" (Blogger term for the press corps) concerning the "war" between Fox News and the Obama Administration?
Charles Krauthammer complains that the President's Chief Of Staff "Rahm Emanuel once sent a dead fish to a live pollster. Now he's put a horse's head in Roger Ailes' bed." In other words, the White House is not only at war with Fox News, but it's a particularly nasty and vicious war.

It promised to be a revolution in the making. Rising up from the Astroturf, the “Don't tread on me” tsunamic swell of unknown hugeness, also known as “The Silent Majority”, promised to sweep away the liberal minority in coast-to-coast Tax Day madness! Organized by Fox News and hyped up by right wing neo-fascist wing-nutters across the country, we all waited in expectant amazement as one of this country's first corporate-organized protest movements, complete with news time advertisements never enjoyed by the left, prepared to take the public stage and show us who is boss.

Glenn Beck is showing very worrisome signs of completely losing it
Okay, Glenn Beck brings up what appears to be a reasonable point: "If you're a conservative, you're called a racist. You want to starve children."
Now, the Governor of South Carolina is Mark Sanford and he wants to reject (On behalf of SC) $700 million is stimulus money from the Federal Government. The youngster Ty'Sheoma Bethea wrote a letter to the President asking for money for South Carolina's schools. Well, the money from the AR&R Act would do precisely that, it would pay to keep 7500 teachers on the job and cover new construction.
